72 vs 73

my 914 with the turbo setup is a 72... with some rust problems, interior problems... it was basically a parts car that i ressurected. it has signs of having been wrekced several times, or one really good wreck. I've got my turbo setup almost how i want it, and am thinking of transplanting it into another car and parting out mine. the car i found that seems to look like it's in good enough condition is a 73 with a 1.7. what are the differences between a 72 and a 73? my 72 was a 1.7 also, so will my adapter plate/bell housing adapter bolt onto the side shifter? what about the mounting points for the engine? i used stock mounting holes in the front corners of the engine compartment.
will my brand new (less than 3k miles) rotors work on the 73?
thanks for the help

i think the engine mounting crossbars are different between 72 & 73. the muffler hanger may be different and you've already handled the tail/side shifter difference. maybe some interior difference (maybe defroster/air duct) that probably don't matter re: engine swap

The engine mount bar is different, but it bolts up to the same place on the body. The engine/transmission interface is the same.

The only thing I can see that might give you problems is the shift linkage. The bar runs in a slightly different place on the side-shifter than the tail-shifter. That's why the late motor mount bar is different; the linkage runs right where the early bar is.
