Anyone tried 9xauto's targa roof seal?

These look like a good low-cost alternative to the factory seal. Has anyone tried them?

I have not seen their seal but there are two guys on this board that make a good reproduction seal for less then 1/2 the price of the one above.

"SammyG" makes one which I hear is very nice.

I "Va914" also make one that I feel is very nice.

Best of luck and I think either one of the two above will work well for you.

Hmmn, I can buy a new pair of 914 rear brake calipers from 9xauto for only $3500. Must be some of that NOS unobtanium.

Psst--you can also make your own rear Targa seal, for less!

I made my own using the procedure above and it worked great!

I got a seal from Kerry. I'm sure he used the PP instructions to make it. The advantage to not just making my own was that there are a bunch of garage door seals to pick the wrong one from, various glues to select one that fails, and several measurements and angles for me to mess up too. The VA914 seal really did the trick for me! Thanks Kerry!

Thanks Scott

However, my seal is not made with the P Parts procedure. It's a premanufactured seal modified to fit our cars. The profile LOOKS very similar to the seal in the above link.

Thanks again
Kerry

I made one using the PP procedure and later bought one from Kerry. Kerry's QA is much better than mine and his price was less than my time and materials turned out to be and mine fell apart.

Easy decision for me!
