How Can I Tell If I have a Front Sway Bar?
I just inherited a 73 2.0. My question is without taking out the gas tank how can I tell if it has a front sway bar? Thanks in advance.

For the front, look behind either front wheel, if you have one there will be a steel rod coming through the fender just above the A-arm and a lever and linkage to the lower A-arm. If there is a hole with some bolts around it with no rod coming out, someone took the sway bar before you bought the car, oops? For the rear, look at the lower shock mount bolts, they have the drop link connection built in and the sway bar is mounted to the bottom of the trunk. Good luck.

This might help -- the cadmium-colored thing is the swaybar assembly (drop link, arm, bushing, bushing race and bar itself)

It's a 19mm weltmeister, robbed from my 911. My 914 had factory f/r bars so this was a really easy and $0 swap (went back to stock on the 911 for now).
