2.0 FI Question

I am currently installing a 73 2.0 FI ingine into my 72 914. Opon test fitting the air cleaner it appears that there may be a part missing. Is there anything suposed to go between the throttle body and the opening on the cleaner assembly? There is a noticable size difference between the two pieces, and i am sure there needs to be a tight fit here........

Thanks
Ben

You're right. There is a rubber adapter that mounts to the throttle body, and is held in place with a band-type clamp.

I thought that I'd be able to take a quick look through the PP site, and find the part number(s) for you, but I wasn't able to find it/them. If you give Tom @ PP a call, I'm sure that he'll know exactly what you need. You might even be able to locate a good used one if you post a "wanted" ad on the PP site or the 914 club website.

Good luck.

Howard
