Question about Fuel Injector Damage
Ok, i have another non-914 question but the BMW board has almost no activity - you guys seem to know everything.
I was changing the rubber seals on my 1988 BMW 528 and the fuel injectors have a plastic tip (I believe it is called a chimney) that is on the end that inserts into the manifold. The plastic tip is to help the injector stay cool - somehow. The plastic tips on 2 of the injectors was broken off. I'm wondering if this is a big problem. I will probably replace all of the injectors at some point but the car seems to run fine. Any advice would be great............................Vern |

See my post about fixing our 914 as the missing plastic tip will most definately cause problems.
