4 spring vs 6 spring clutch
Whats the difference between 4 spring and the 6 spring clutch

One has more springs.
![]() The stock 914 doesn't make enough power to really necessitate the 6-spring clutch. The extra springs just make the center area more robust, but it's not really necessary for the stock engine. Aaron

From the Pelican Parts Catalog:
"There are two types of clutch discs available for the 914-4. The stock disc with four springs, and the early 911 disc with six. The 911 disc will give you a much better feel for only a few more dollars, and is a direct replacement for the 914 disc." |
