Anyone have acceleration numbers for their teener?

0 to 60 mph and 1/4 mile times for all the fours, sixes, turbos, V8s, Subaru motors, rotaries and what have you? Someone must have a G-tech Pro or similar to measure these numbers ...

914-8's haven't changed much since the 1st one built by Porsche in about 1970; they typically run 0 to 60 in under 5 sec and do the 1/4 in under 13 sec. Typical 914-8 is 2340 lbs / 300 hp = 7.8 lbs per hp ( Z06 Corvette is 7.9 lbs / HP )

I don't have any times, but in the standing starts at the Mexican races, I get trounced in 1st gear with my trusty 'ol 901 tranny but I can out accelerate a 68 camario with a 355 small block in 2nd to 4th gears!

According to the owner's manual for my 1970 914-6, it will go to 60 in about 8.5 sec and do the 1/4 mile in about 17 sec. It has a power to weight ratio of about 17.8 lbs per HP ( 2075 lbs / 125 HP ).
Not quite as fast as my 914-8 which is just about 2x as fast !!!

Alfred, if you have access to any owner's manuals (and I'm guessing you do!) there should be performance data in them.

Hey Sean .... is that time starting off in second? Speaking of crappy tires, I'm saying adios to my Rivieras and dinky 195-50s. My brother-in-law gave me a nice set of Fuchs, 2 6x16 and 2 5.5x15. 5 lug conversion is underway.

How did you get these numbers?

I've got a G-TECH meter and have got some numbers from it. I didn't want to post them because they are too good I'm afraid everyone will throw up the BS flag.

I bought a G-Tech Pro on ebay but had to have it calibrated (I have the instructions if anyone needs them). Does your G-Tech read +1.0g when held vertically in one direction and then -1.0g when held in the other direction? If so, I think your acceleration numbers will be pretty accurate. I say post 'em!
