Governator signs A.B. 2683/ bad for car buffs

Just got the word from some buds at SEMA that Gov. Arnold has signed the A.B. 2683, we thought it was a for sure veto . All vehicles that reach their 30 year birthdays will no longer be exempt from the ( rolling dyno) smog inspections in Cali.
So I think this means that all 1976 + vehicles still get tested.
Surley a sour day for all of us Kaliforian hot rodders...we will live to fight another day.
Jay Leno for NEXT governor !

Is the date stamp tag still on the car? You may be able to get it exempt.

So, my 1974 is still exempt ........that's great news (for me). As I have said in a previous post, I think this will add value to pre-75 cars since they will now be more desireable than a '76 because of the smog requirement.

All good condition 914s regardless of year will always be worth $$, maybe only up to year '75 in Cali...but don't forget that there are 49 other states and accross the pond customers looking for rust free Cali. cars !!
