John Larson may be able to help you but I'm not sure where his shop is. Others here will know.

Chech the CHT first but if its hunting and then running rich my bet is the MPS. Check it witha vacuum tester to see if it holds a 15hg vacuum for 5 minutes. If it just bleeds down its done.

Its the genade looking thing under the battery and you don't have to take it out to test it. Just unplug the vacuum hose.

Yes, but it takes alot of tools to do it. Don't just adjust it for idle as its for partload and WOT Airfuel mix. If you are having idle hunting then check for vacuum leaks and or other issues.

Larson is up in Santa Maria, pretty far out of your way. If you're in the LA area, you might be able to show up at the Pelican offices and rent/borrow the D-jet EFI tester. It mainly checks the ECU... Call first, though!

Tons of D-jet info can be found here, just in case you haven't seen the link a zillion times so far.... http://members.rennlist.com/pbanders .

Isn't Otto's in Venice supposed to be the best, albeit at a premium?

They're definitely good, but some people find the owner a bit hard to deal with. Even for those who do, he's still the guy to see if you want to Six-up your car and take it on the track!
