Replacing brake lines
I just got a new set of brake lines from Pelican. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time reaching the top nuts on the left side (haven't even tried the right yet). ANybody have a tip/suggestion?
Thanks, Carlos |
Remove the rain tray drip tubes, and work through the holes those used to go through. I believe that's what people have done with some success. They are a real PITA, though.

Thanks Dave,
I really appreciate your feedback. I might just let a shop do this one, since I'm short on time... but I might feel adventurous and tackle the task tomorrow. Thanks for your help Carlos |
Like Dave said, if you remove those drain tubes, it gives you a better vantage point from the engine bay. Just be very careful to get a good grip on the top side. It is easy to let that slip and end up twisting the hardline. (Ask me how I know that) Also, make sure you use flare nut wrenches. They are definately worth the investment. They will give you a much better grip, and are much less likely to strip the fittings. Good luck.
