Third Seat?

I do believe I have read somewhere that there was a 3rd seat option (middle?) for the 914. Is this true? What about the seat belt? My dilemna is that I have a newbie and I am looking for somewhere to put a small car seat. Middle? Is it possible? Has anyone done it? I have other cars for the car seat so don't tell me to get a mini-van, station wagon, etc... I know someone will! Ha-ha! Thanks alot, Ian

That cushion in the middle is the "third seat"....some of the early models had belts for it....mine does. You need a really narrow butt though....

I must confess that many years ago I installed a third seat belt and used the center cushion as a "seat" for my now adult daughters when they were very young (6 and under). Today I would never do it with what we know about safely protecting a child in car safety seat. Manufacturers all recommend putting child safety seats only in the rear. Keep the 914 for you and another adult, and transport your kids in the rear seat of another vehicle where they are much safer.
