Your opinions on this car

A friend of mine is interested in this car. He has no experience with 914's & I think this could be a bigger project than he thinks. Just wondering what you guys think of this car and it's value.

Check it out on E-Bay:

Thumbs down eBay 914

Well I see 4 different colors. Wonder why they just didn't paint it all one color? No motor either. Looks like $20k to get this one going and looking nice again. Wonder how the longs are? Ask the seller if the car jacks up with the factory jack.

Actually, my friend has already bid on this car & he is the current high bidder.

I'm a little concerned because he has no experience with 914's or working on any cars. He's never even been in my 914. I personally think that he should start with a car that runs. I know from my own experience that I started with a running car and I still have invested probably $5k+.

I thought that if I got some outside opinions from the experts, he might listen to your adivce and start with a better car.

start with a better car! start with something that drives, especially if its his first 914. I have a better starter chassis than that here in SD. it has GT flairs, 916 front and rear and a fresh coat of Dupont urethane in adraitic blue...and a solid hell hole
