exhaust options

hey everyone~
heres my problem, im just about to re-install my engine and on the topic of exhaust i was wondering if its possible to to use a VW (bus) style collector (coming off the stock 914 heat exchangers) and then putting a super-trapp muffler (the collecter im thinking of would be a 4 into 1 type) sorry if this is confusing to read, but any help would be great

To me, that sounds an awful lot like a Bursch collector and muffler.

I did the same thing with the 2" x 9" supertrap and it worked great and sounds good too.
