Turbo engine fitment

Quick question, I know all sorts of mods are out there, and just about anything can fit with mods, but will a C2 Turbo engine fit in a 914? This is the one with the huge intercooler on top. --I know the engine will 'fit' , but will it fit without relocating the intercooler, etc. Or for that matter, what about a 930 motor?
Ive obviously seen alot of 914/911-6 conversions, but havent seen a turbo motor in one up close.

I have a choice between going with a 3.6 or C2T engine. Ive had both in a 911 and the C2T is just brutally fast.

Do a search on "iamchappy"; he has a 3.0 SC motor with a turbo on it. I don't think any of the intercooled turbo motors would fit as-is--the intercooler would wind up being in the passenger compartment. Relocate the intercooler, however...

Richard Clewett, and Martin Schnieder were very helpful in my conversion. I put the intercooler in the rear trunk as my counterparts have, it is a relatively straight forward fabrication a few custom pipes welded together to create a cross over pipe and intake runs and your good to go. I wouldn't get to caught up with the turbo lag skeptics, were not complaining.

Very nice setup, but thats what i figured. I dont want to do that much modifications.

What about the 993 3.6? Any clearance issues with that motor? I know the 3.0, 3.2s will fit with carbs, but not sure about the height difference.

The 993 engine has been done. It fits without massive issues--unless you're talking about using the VarioRam intake. That, evidently, is too tall for the 914's engine bay.
