Custom Covered Interior

Hi All,
Has anyone re-covered their interior pieces (front/rear targa pads, set back pad, panels, etc) with anything non 'porsche"?

Say using perforated vinyl?

My friend says he knows a guy near the mexican border that can recover it all. Refoam and everything.

Any custom interiors out there? What kind of cost is involved? For a street car, not a racer.

Thanks!

I've seen some really nice interiors that were non-porsche looking. The materials were really rich leathers like you would see in luxury cars. I have also seen them with a combination of vinyl and fabric which looks good as well.

There is a place right across the border that alot of 914 owners take thier cars. It's called Los Panchos.

Philip J. Haun has some semi-custom bits in "Blue Thunder", his V6 conversion.

One of the other PacNW'ers has some nice work in his car. I don't remember his name, but I think I have some pics in the "swap meets" section of this site...

Yup, here it is:

Check the first three pics, and the first two in the second row.

Can anyone identify where the 911 style door panels for the 914 came from? I've heard legends, but no specifics. I've already got the Getty 911 dash, and I've always thought that the 911 door panels would be cool.

TIA.
