914 seat belt buzzer going crazy
My '74 914 has developed an odd problem: when you turn off the key and get out of the car the buzzer keeps going until the door is shut. Even with the key out of the ignition. Why does it keep buzzing? I located it (under the passenger seat) but can't get to it unless I take the seat out, which I don't know how to do??? Any ideas? Thanks

I don't know why it's doing what it's doing, but taking the seat out is very easy.
There should be a loop handle on the front of one of the seat tracks. The loop often breaks over the years, so you may need to feel around under the front of the seat track. One will have a metal block there; push up on that block and slide the seat forward as far as it will go. Now, under the other track is a stop. It's not at the front, it's somewhere in the middle of the rail. (Note that the track is usually very messy; you might want to wear gloves for this!) Reach in and push up on the metal tab in that other track. Then slide the seat forward more--it will slide right off the rails! --DD
