WOW!... Realride Tape #1 is awesome!
I just got my Realride tape#1 and it is simply awesome! It's the one taken onboard the Porsche RSR 3.8. Quite simply the best onboard footage I've seen in a while. I noticed at their site Realride.com that tape#2 is from a Porsche 914/6. Has anybody gotten this one yet? I'm curious. If it's like tape#1, I'm getting it.

I have the # 1 tape (914/6 3.2) and I was impressed- but then I'm easily impressed. Seriously, it is awesome to see what a 914 can do to some potent (or it should be) competition. The driver is Randy Beck.

Is the tape also at the endurance race? The one I have was taken at an endurance race. I think I'm going to order that one too. I just bought a 1987 944 turbo that I'm using for PCA Clubracing. I can't believe they don't have a 944 tape out seeing as they race 944's.

I have the 914/6 tape as well. It's a fantastic car (and driver) -- amazing to see how that "lowly 914" (haha) BLOWS past all kinds of competition including several 911-variants and lots of american and import racers.
This one is on a relatively short street course and the footage is high-quality but gets a little "repetitive" as it's basically just steady lapping of the same track over and over. The sound is mesmerizing too. I recommend cranking the home theatre with this one... Chris C. |

Don't know about the tape. But this guy has been posting on the 911 site. They pretty much determined that the original poster is the retailer of the tape. Don't think he would be very objective if that was true....
Just my $.02.... |
