Subie Swap

I was told by a guy at Beck Speedsters (brazil made kit speedsters) that they have put subies in their cars without the water plumbing . ANyone done this with a 914. Even if not I can see leaving the engine compartment tin out and hanging a couple of fans on a rad in the engine compartment. I am still looking for more HP out of my 2.2 and I thjink the V8/6 conversians just change the fundamentals of the car more than I care to.
Appreciate thoughts.

Check out www.914club.com or do a search here. Many have completed a swap and have detailed what it entails. I think you still have to use the Subaru colling system, but there are ways to get it all in there.

When you do try this, can I have your 2.2?

The pictures of the setup with the radiator in the engine bay were pulled off of the Club site by the car's owner. I believe he did eventually re-post them here on this very BBS. A search might turn them up.

I am currently doing a Subaru engine swap on my 914. I'm putting a 2.5 liter naturally aspirated (EJ25) in and I'm putting the radiator in the engine bay. I have a bunch of pictures and description of my project over at 914club.com (when its back up).
