Baja II - El viaje de locura
Hey Now! Here's the basic plan.
 Labor Day weekend is Aug 30th-Sep 1st. Meet at the usual spot - Burger King - Dairy Mart Rd. Morning 30th, 10:00AM. (Ron can get more BBQ sauce)  Drive down to Ensenada via Mexico 1 - exact route TBD  Drive through Ensenada (quick check in at the hotels) to "La Bufadora" on Punta Banda for a nice relaxing ride and enjoy the "Bufing" of the Bufadora. Take some sweet pictures of the Cars against the sea and coast line. Drive back to Ensenada and check in to the hotels.  Maybe a little more driving for the "not feint of heart".  Dinner and debauchery in Ensenada Saturday night  Sunday we drive up Mexico 3 to Tecate, maybe stop at the brewery and/or a vineyard on the way up (If they are open on Sunday).  Cross the border and drive towards Jamul (CA 94) and then drive some twisty curvy back roads towards San Diego. Cars should be able to find there way back from there.  Hotel costs: Santo Tomas (011-52-646-178-15-03). is full Hotel Cortez ...178 23 07 wants $89 bucks The Motel Caribe (011-52-646-178-34-81) wants $30 via western union direct to manager Juan Fransisco Solorzano Gomez If needed, we can spill over into: The Hotel Plaza (011-52-646-178-27-15) - real cheap! - Like $30 Hotels are up to you! You need to get set up quickly because it is a Holiday weekend and the availability is limited. My preference is people make their own reservations. OK - I hate this stuffffffff They want a deposit (of the whole amount) in advance before we go. So I'm going to have to get you all to Send me da'money. Or we chooose a different easier to deal with hotel.... James

Well where is everyone? Dont they realize that the hotel will fill up being a holiday weekend and all? I know a bunch of people were wanting to go on this run.

Hey, do us senior citizens get a discount??? Rosie and I might like to go but that is a ways away for my work planning. The ride back to Tecate is great as I used to do it the other way for about 10 years or so on the Tecate-Ensenada bike ride when I was younger!!

They asked me if I was part of a group and it's under your name. they let me book the room - hope to hell it stuck. I'm going to call tomorrow to make sure. For what we re doing, no. Plus, we are coming back on Sunday. The boarder crossing should be OK on Sunday compared to what it will be like on Monday.

Well, I knew that speaking english was not gonna work - I had my secretary (spanish speaking) call this AM to the hotel to verify that I had a reservation for a double room. I had a reservation for sure
FOR 11 ROOMS @ $103 PER NIGHT that got changed quickly (and the price to $51.00 for a double - 2 beds). FIND SOMEOME WHO DOES.

sorry man, I want it. I am just busy as hell. Went to Vegas yesterday at 6am, got home studied for a couple of hours till 12am. Got up this morning at 6:50am after going to bed at 2am. An now I have to go to work and close cause everybody is having issues. ........wah, I know. I'm just grumpy. ( and I think my last midterm blew)
