914-6 oil temp gauge markings
Can anyone provide information on the actual indicated temperatures at various points on an early 914-6 oil temp gauge? I am used to 911 gauges, which have calibration marks.
Thanks, JR |

Bump for the weekend crowd.
Surely, I'm not the first guy to ask this question, am I? I figure the right end of the "box" on the left half of the gauge is probably 90 degrees C, as that would be typical of Porsche. What about the rest? Where do other -6 owners see their oil temps when driving down the road? JR |

Check the edge of the gauge module for numbers. I know they're there on 911s, not sure on the Sixes. They're not there at all on the Fours.

Dave,
Sadly, they are not there on the 914-6 gauge. That's the first place I looked; after driving 911s for forever, it kind of surprised me to not see any. Anybody else? JR |

Mike,
That's a 911 gauge. Do you have the same info for a 914-6 gauge? Thanks, JR |

The typeface makes it look like it was from a Porsche Panorama (PCA national magazine) article. Or from "Up-Fixen der Porsche", which is a collection of the tech articles from Panorama over the years.

I got it from 914club.com a long time ago, sorry I don't know the origins of it.

I found it over the weekend. It's an old Pano article that was reproduced in Up-fixin' #9.
Thanks for the help. JR |
