Hi All,
I was working on my car today and I inadvertently knocked the silver cap off my fuel pump. Two springs shot out and so did gas. I put a stopper in place to stop the flow of gas. Does anyone know where I can get a repair kit, if one exists, or should I start looking for a replacement pump? The cap appears to be aluminum ans was corroded. Probably would have failed on it's own anyways. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim

What happened to all the experts and advise givers? 35 have viewed this posting without a single reply. I would think that Dave at least would respond.

Sorry, Jim, but I don't have anything to say about repairing the pump. My own choice at this point would be to replace it, but I have pretty good access to parts...

Replace it, relocate it to the front if you have not already done so. I would consider a different style pump as well, the three nipple setup on these pumps is sort of hokey anyway

Thanks for the responses guys. I luckily found all the springs and things that came out. I am going to try to put it all back in and see if it works.

If it does work, I woudl still recommend getting another pump and keep it handy, just in case, better safe than pushing it home
