Hi All -
I just purchased remanufactured front calipers from a very reputable shop(I thought I might as well do all four since the fronts are so cheap). They went on with ease. I noticed that they have 2 bleader screws. Is this a normal addition for a remanufactured part? The workmanship looks great and they are the ATE caliper - even re-cad plated. Anyone have any insight? Thanks! Scott Schroeder Denver, CO |

The two bleeders makes the calipers universal, fitting on either side. My 75, as far as I know, came with this type from the factory.

I couldn't attest to the universality part but my '74 has both upper and lower bleeders front and back. The '72 only has uppers.
In practice I have found that the dual bleeders make draining the brake system a touch easier. I strongly suggest purchasing the speed bleeders (PP sells them and they are available in different places as well.) They make bleeding the brakes a no-brainer (you can do them solo!) If you get them, replace the top screws only, air rising to the top as it is want to do (leave the bottom ones in place.)
