You should see this thing....its a 914?

That first one is patterned after one of the most beautiful pieces of automotive sculpture ever created (IMO) the 246GT Dino Ferrari. here'a a picture of the real thing:

here's the link to the E-bay ad for that dino:

I've seen a 914 Dino kit car up close, didn't look too bad.

The Kelmark is also patterned after the dino, just not as well.

That second one? no comment.

Here's the pic of the 914 "Dino" for comparison:

The biggest problem with it is the roof line and the doors. The shape of the dino roof and door lines are nothing at all like the 914 and it shows.

Yeah, but you can get a nice Kelmark (WITH PINTO WINDSHIELD AND ALL!!) for like 3 grand and put a 36hp vw engine it too.

Who could resist?

But you're right -the 246GT is one of the best looking cars ever built. I'm a little partial to the 906 and the Porsche Abarth though...

The first one is likely an "Eagle", which is indeed based on the 246. The molds were on sale by a 914 guy a while back. I hear someone bought them off him for cheap.

Goes to show you why people should leave designing cars to the Italian studios. Or, in a few cases, other studios, but not home spun copies.
