Question 1.8L Coil help

I am having some trouble with my Ignition coil on my 1.8L.

Can someone tell my what are the wire connections are on the coil?

green- to the dizzy (- side of coil)

(2)blacks- ?

Red- ?

White- ?

The white wire is making the engine run bad. If I move the white connection around the engine acts like there is water in the gas.
Also, the coil is real old looking, black and yellow. I think I may buy a new coil and redo the connections, if I knew what they were.

What coil will work with the Crane Ignition system. I may go that route soon. BIG BLUE???

Thanks
Kerry

Green from the points/condensor: To the (-) terminal.

Slightly thicker black from the relay board: To the (+) terminal. Power supply to the coil.

Black with purple stripe from the relay board: To the (-) terminal. Output from the points/condensor to the tach. The purple stripe can be very tough to see.

Red: There shouldn't be a red wire attached to the coil. It might be a wire used to power something else, in which case the (+) side would be where it goes. But I suggest finding out what the wire goes to and plugging it into the correct place instead of the coil.

White from the FI ECU: To the (-) terminal. This carries the signal from the points to the FI, and lets it know when to open the injectors.

Clean all of the connectors, and make sure they fit nice and snug on the coil. If wiggling the white wire changes how the car runs, then the connection is dirty or the wire is damaged. Clean the connection, maybe replace the bad part of the wire (if you can isolate it). Or maybe replace the connector--wires most often fail where the connectors are crimped on.

Thanks, the white wire broke at the connection point. It looked okay at first inspection, but as I was moving it SNAP!

Thanks again,

The red wire run to the relay board and is connected to the black/purple. That's why I had a red and no Black/purple.
