Porsche Crest ?????? Alt, Coil, dist.,Any of these look familiar?

Hey gents, I have these electrical components which came un-installed when I bought my 75 914 ( engine removed) So, I am curious as to weather they are 914 items, or for some other vw /audi/ porsche
variants , I have tried cross-referencing part #'s but have had no luck,
here are the part #'s

Bosch alternator- k1 14v 65 amp 21 070 903 023e
( imprinted on a blue and silver metallic sticker on the side)

Coil - (3 numbers ) 1 220 522 016 (on top)
021 122 349 (on bottom)
211 905 115 (on bottom)

distributor- 0 231 178 009

I will post a pic, any identification info greatly appreciated, Thanks much!

J.C.

The alternator is not a 914 part. It has what I think of as "v8" cooling fins on the pulley, and it also has a squirrel-cage fan on it! The cooling shroud also looks very unfamiliar.

The distributor is not a D-jet (stock 1.7, 2.0) distributor. Apart from that, it looks a lot like a Bosch distributor. Lots of cars used them, as you can guess.

The coil looks like a pretty standard Bosch coil (not the "blue" one of course!).

See if you can track down a Bosch electrical parts catalog. I have the FI catalog, but it doesn't have those parts in it.

Pure Speculation

Looks like they converted the alternator to "work" with a 914, if that's what you got it from. That is a regular I.E. water cooled alternator. Wondering if the cage attached to it was some sort of replacement for the positive pressure created from the cooling fan? Any history on these parts?

The dist. is a bug part, one of the only parts that will cross over from a T-1 or T-3.
