I have the opportunity to use either a '75 (screw-on gas cap, equal sized fuel lines) or a '74 fuel tank (different sized fuel lines, 'bayonet' gas cap).
Is one better thatn the other? They're both in great shape. scg |

What is the rest of your fuel system like? If you've got the early-style fuel pump and lines, use the early-style tank. If you've got the late-style fuel pump and lines, use the late-style tank. It makes things easier when you don't have to do lots of swapping and/or diameter-change adaptations.

Ah. I'm changing to a CIS fuel pump/system for my 2.7 transplant. The center fuel lines are currently the '74 sizes. I'm thinking of replacing them because I want to move the fuel pump to the front and I think the CIS system runs under a bit more pressure than the old AFC did with the fuel pump under the battery(?)
