Got my valves adjusted...the intakes were too tight. Timing was too retarded. Raised fuel pressure to 36psi. Runs real strong now (especially considering the 17's it's pushing) would easily be a 15" fuch's tire roaster!! Eats gas much better (bad). Doesn't seem to go above 255-260 oil temp. Removed rubber from flexi-dam. Seems to cool more quickly now. I need to check thermostat assy adjustment still. I also need to check ditributor. One of the only things I didn't replace or rebuild.
Does anyone know who rebuilds these to like new condition? |

John Larson on Rennlist will rebuild them for something like $100. You might also want to consider a very cheap route - go to your local Checker and get a rebuilt. The rebuilder is A1 Cardone, and I read some postings that indicated good results with dizzy's built by them - your results may vary. But the price is sure right - $70 from my local Checker with $1 core charge! Hard to go wrong, especially since you can keep returning them to Checker until you get one that you're satisfied with.
