Engine Removal
Hello, I am trying to replace the engine in my '70 914 and I have run into some trouble. I have removed everything but the engine bar. The bolts seems to be spinning in place, but not freely. I talked to an elderly VW mechanic and he said that the 914s were doing as little as seven years after they came out! Any siggestions would be appreciated.

There is a nut on them.
Are they spinning in the nut? If so you may have to cut the head of the bolt off. |

The set up at the engine bar is basically the same as the tranny mounts nut on top
PS The 914s were doing what as little as seven years after they came out?
