Which wheels? Most of the wheels used on the 914 were 5.5x15; some early ones were 4.5x15, while some of the Sixes ran 5.5x14 wheels. I never remember offsets; backspace measurements were on the order of four inches for most of them.

Why do you want this information?

Hi Dave,

Got a customer interested in running our deep 6's...although he'll need to convert the stud pattern.

Regards

Jonathan

I know that people have run regular 6x15 Fuchs (as opposed to the "deep dish" ones) with few issues. In some cases, especially when running 205-width rubber, it has been necessary to pull or roll one rear fender out slightly for clearance--the 914 bodies are almost never completely symmetrical. It may also be necessary to flatten or cut down the fender lip for clearance as well.

I know one 914 that was running 911R 7x15 wheels under stock fenders. He could not fit 205s, and wound up stretching 195s over them. (His tire guys hated him, I think.) He wouldn't change the wheels because he paid so much for them. I'm not sure if his case was typical or not, though.
