headlight and window help needed.
i have a 70 914-6 probably don't need to know its carbed, but it is. When i turn on the headlights the passenger side come up but the drivers side does not. The light is on, but not up. i can give it a helping hand and it will go up, or if i turn the black manual knob, the light on the other side starts going up and down repeatedly? Any ideas on this? Go easy on me, talk slow and use real simple words, i am no electrologist! Next, the driver window is about 3/8" from going up all the way. i have tried the adjuster at the bottom of the door, going both in and out with the threads, but neither way moves the window at all. the in and out adjustment fork fine, just no up and down. Any ideas on this? As always thank you in advance for your help!

New information or confusion!
OK, the drivers side headlight will only open and close if the car is running. If the car is not running, only the passenger side headlight will go up? Any ideas on that? Also, I was looking at the fuse panel under the dash, and just to the right of it (toward the shift lever) there is a little toggle switch? Any body know what that is?

Funky stuff, there, P-dub. I'd start poking around the headlight relays to see what pins get power when. IIRC, the lights should only come up with the ignition on, but they should go down with it on or off. (My reference is a 74, though; the early ones might be wired differently.)
The toggle switch may be a kill switch. I know some people who have made switches that ground the tach wire, which grounds out the points, which keeps the engine from running. The switch is aftermarket, whatever it does. You'll have to trace the wires and see where they go. (Hey, maybe it is a "wink" switch so the driver could make his car wink at people? I've thought of doing something like that a few times... ![]() --DD
