console clock adjustment
In the tech article on clock rebuilding, the author mentions the ease of adjusting the speed on the old style clocks (externally) but doesn't say how. How do you adjust the speed? My clock drops 5-7 minutes a day. Can this be adjusted or do I need to rebuild or buy a new one altogether?

There is a little adjuster screw -- but only if you have the early Type I clock, not the Type II or even later VDO Quartz clock! I think you missed this at the end of the tech article:

I did miss the end, thanks for your help!

The newer one from the VDO "Cockpit" series that I installed in my car keeps very good time. If this feature is important to you, you may want to consider upgrading.
