Is there a way to reset the trip meter (aside from disassembly), if not, why did they even put one on the speedo in the first place?

Look for a knob on the bottom side of the dashboard, just below the speedo. Twist the knob to reset the trip meter. Don't do this while the car is moving; it puts extra stress on the odometer mechanism.

Hello
New in 914 ? There is a reset wheel under the instrument. You can see it coming out behind the knee bolster. Turning one way will return the numbers. Grüsse |
