Question clear side markers

i finally got my clear turn signals from ***********, the shipping took too long!! But when i put them on my car they didnt look right with the amber side marker so i was wondering: Does anybody knows if they also make clear side markers or if you can make them your self?

Have them removed. It looks much cleaner, IMHO.

Dave,
How did you fill in the hole from the old sidde markers? I've been thinking about removing mine too, but don't know what to do about the bulb hole...and it's hard to match Ravenna paint! Thanks.

Nathan

Question

I can't help you there. Mine was done when I bought the car. I didn't even realize that mine were missing until I started comparing pictures on this site and realized that the cars I liked most had the reflectors removed. When I went to look at the car to see how hard it would be, they weren't there. (goes to show just how little I knew of thse cars before I purchased it.

I can't tell how the hole was filled due to the fact that the PO used too much undercoating everywhere. My guess is Bondo and screen, but possably welded patch. I'll find out when I start my flare operation this winter.

Good luck,

Three things usually fill those holes: Metal, Bondo, and Paint.

As far as I can tell, there isn't any convenient plug, or clear lens, or other easily-found way to fill in that hole. If you find one, please let us know!

or you could forget filling holes and go through the trouble of fitting euro fenders.
i believe the euro cars did not have side markers. you could also buy an aftermarket fiberglass fenderpair with flares already, or better yet...use sheetmetal from the bottom of my grill its also 20 gauge...

You could indeed use European fenders. But you'd be cutting the spot-welds on your old fenders for a loooong time (there are a lot of them!). Not to mention welding the new fenders on, and getting them painted to match...
