Heater controller removal?

OK, here is another one. I would like to swap out my heater controller (in the dash) with a nicer looking one. Does anyone have a quick and dirty set of instructions on how to whip the old one out and toss the new one in? Thanks for helping out!

OK, guys, I am not kidding! How do you remove the in dash control until for the air vents? I don't want to screw anything else up! Also, how do you remove the front windhsield targa seal, the one that runs across the top and down the sides of the windshield? This is my next step. i am getting ready to drive this thing quite a bit, but would like to get all of my little projects done so I can drive without tweaking on it all the time.

The air vent control, IIRC, is a real PITA to remove. One mounting nut that I believe you access from the trunk. After removing the fuel tank, of course! Look around under the dash, though--I might have it backwards. And you need to unplug the electrical wires. And unhook the control cables. Then I think it slides out.

The targa seal: Poke a screwdriver into the side of the seal just at the edge of the shiny (anodized aluminum?) trim that holds it on. Push it in far enough for the lip of the seal to release from the lip of the trim, and then move the screwdriver to keep releasing the lip. When you've got the sides off, just pull the top part straight back.
