what is this badge?
While I was looking through the parts of of my 73 914, I found my horn grille and it has two different badges on it! Why they are on the grille, I don't know!! At the 10:00 o'clock position is the stallion that is on my other badge. The other badge has "STUTTGART" across the top, and this badge has "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND" across the bottom!

Hello
The middle shows ol Bundesadler. That design was used from 1948 to mid 70´s then the bird got a slight make up. On the upper half you will see the crests from the staates ( like your stars ). The 3rd from left is the Stuttgart Rössle. This show a very erly version as ten staats sans Saarland and Baden and Württemberg were splitet. Baden Würtemberg was joined in the late 50´s and the Baden crest is the next abouve the Stuttgart crest. Now if you mix both you will have the Porsche crest without the Porsche script ahead. There was asimilar badge given out by the ADAC with had a Mücnchner Kindl instead the Bundesadler. That was very popular. The most used Porsche add on was the christopherus. Grüsse |
