Fuel pump stopped: relays or fuses for it?? '73 D-jet
While working on my 914's fuel injection, my fuel pump died in between changing out AAR valves.
I will verify this weekend if it's getting current or not, & my fuses look fine, grounds have been recently polished up. Where are the other areas to check on this issue? Thanks! Mark

You have a relay and fuse on the engine compartment relay board, don't forget to check them. The relays in the headlights are the same, just switch them, see it that fixes it.
Later, Don |

The fuel pump power circuit also feeds the AAR. If the wire to the AAR shorts to ground, the fuel pump fuse will pop.

That's probalby what I did, as I found a popped 25a fuse under the fuse/relay cover in the engine bay.

Vacuum leaks (good sized ones, like a hose completely unplugged!) and possibly over-advanced timing.

I have some punks left over from my fireworks: will use those to see if I can determine via-smoke where the leaks are.
How does the AAR valve work? closed when cold, open some when hot? Thanks Dave, Mark.

You got it backwards--open when cold, closed when hot. It's supposed to help with cold idle.
