Aftermarket wheels?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know of any reasonably priced aftermarket four-bolt wheel that is available in widths greater than 5.5"? Perhaps something old? Offset isn't terribly important as long as they'll miss all of the suspension bits. I'll flair it if I need to since it will eventually end up on something wider anyway. I have checked out the Revolutions, Super-Lites and a few other of the relatively high-dollar new wheels, but I can't help but think that there may be something left over from the 70s/80s Bug craze that might fit the bill (and perhaps have a different look for a 914). Seems to me I remember seeing some Bugs on *really* wide rubber...

Try getting a set of steel wheels widened. There's a decent chance that's what you've seen on the Bugs. Either that, or the cars were converted to something other than the 4x130mm pattern.
