Angry Just About Ready To Giveup On My 914

Well, the rewire job has been completed, got rid of the old style fuse and replaced it with the blade fuses. Rebuilt the brakes, installed braided ss brake lines. replaced the "plastic" fuel line with a ss one.

tried to order parts from Pelican and was told that they were NLA. Got same parts from Auto Atlanta.

Latest problem--when I start the car sounds like marbles rolling around in the rear end. Rebuilt the engine in 2005. Sound does go away after the car is warmed up??? When I park the car and turn off the engine, there is a SMALL, SLOW OIL LEAK. It seems to be coming from the small hole in the trans housing, the one you look into to see the fly wheel.

Any GOOD ideas, on July 18 it is going into MRAZ, a foreign car company to see what the problem is. If it cost more than $2000 the car is history.

Maybe transmission, drain the oil and look at it. Before you ditch it, figure out what shipping would be and give Dr EvilTM a call. Actually I doubt if he is trademarked, may be something simple though, replace 1st/Reverse for example.

When does it make the noise, does it change when the clutch is engaged, does it do it in neutral?
