Resurrection Help
After 8 or 9 years of sitting on blocks in my garage I am attempting to resurrect my 70 914-4. I am concerned about the rings having rusted to the cylinders. I am thinking I need to spray some aerosol lubricant into the spark plug holes before rocking it back and forth in second gear to see if the motor is free. Any observations or suggestions related to firing it up again would be appreciated.

That may work. If it does spin, try starting the motor without the fuel pump connected or the ignition connected. Just try spinning up with the plugs out, no fuel, no spark to exercise the rings a bit.
Out of curiosity, what is the VIN? I'm really interested in those under 2100 that were made in calendar year 1969.
