V6 Buick, 73 rust free chassis
I had a guy stop by my shop today, with a v6 914. I drove it, it ripped, I was suprised how well it drove. Bad silver paint, weak interior. He is asking $2900 for it. He was sent to my by a friend who knew I messed with old Porsches. Im a 911 guy, but have always liked 914s and I think I need one now. Any comments? Check out my 73E I just finished. The v6 car is the same year and color.

Very nice 911.
The 914 could be worth more or it could be worth less. It really depends on how well the v6 conversion was done. Take pictures of the car and post them on the site. Pictures of the engine area, and under the front hood, as well as front and rear suspension areas.

Yeh! Lets see that bad boy!
I've always thought a V6 was a great way to go. Enjoy!

wm,
See if you can get some pics, especially of the engine setup, radiator, and normal rust areas. My son may be interested in this. He's talking about selling our 924s and going 914 instead. Thanks, Gerard

V6 will have some vibration issues. Curious that you posted your 911 pic when your subject was about a 914. Post some pics of the 914 if you want opinions about THAT car. $2900 would be a good deal unless it is a cobbled mess or has some rust issues. (Which it is likely to have.... But maybe you'll be lucky and it won't be so bad.)
