Polishing 914 wheels?
I tried to polish my original 914 wheels but I guess the wheels have a clear coat on them.
What can I do to polish those wheels? Here is a photo of the wheels. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads11/Porsche1190567610.jpg |

The covering is an anodized finish. It can be removed with Easy-Off oven cleaner. Note that leaving it on too long can actually eat away the aluminum...
We have two Tech Articles that cover this: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/mult_wheel_refinish/fuchs1.htm http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/mult_wheel_refinish/fuchs2.htm --DD

You can also get them media blasted with plastic and the finish will be a dull matte finish which is nice. If you want em polished after that, take them to a wheel polisher like an 18 wheel polisher or other.
