Due to my frozen engine, I have been using Marvel Mystery Oil to try to loosen up things. I was pushing the car around in the alley, and now I notice that whenever I push on the brakes, the big red brake warning light comes on. Waht gives?

It sounds like one of two things.
First, the brake light switch may be wired to the brake warning circuit by mistake. Check the wiring diagrams for the correct color of wires on each. Second, you may have a brake master cylinder switch that does reset itself, and doesn't stay "on" all the time. And you may have a leak in the brake system. The brakes will go to the floor with only moderate resistance if this is the case (if my experience bleeding the brakes and also boiling the fluid is any guide). --DD ------------------ Pelican Parts 914 Tech Support A few pics of my car: http://www.pelicanparts.com/gallery/Dave_Darling |
