Question Oil temp/Cyl. head temp gauge

On the center console is the temperature gauge for the oil temp or head temp?

Will it work correctly for either one?

Thanks,
ShawnO

Oil temp.

If you don't have the stock-type injection, you can hook the wire up to the FI's head temp sensor. The gauge will read higher when the head is hotter, and lower when the head is cooler. No idea what the "normal" range on the gauge would be--you'll have to figure that out for yourself.

The aftermarket VDO gauge that you can get from Pelican (ant other, lesser sources ) works on a totally different principle. You have to use the sender that comes with the gauge.
