I got my fuel tank out last night. Everything looks really good in that compartment, no rust and very solid. Fuel tank looks good too, inside and out.
What is the going opinion here for sealing the rubber gasket between the expansion tank and the fuel tank on reassembly? I've been reading here that anti-sieze is recommended. If so, then is the aluminum or copper paste better? According to the Permatex site, they don't sell a lead paste. ------------------ Eric '75 914 2.0L |

I've used the lead paste, but I'd think copper would work just as well.
What got me started on doing this was that on the can it is a recommended gas tank fitting sealer. |

Who made the lead paste? Because the Permatex I've seen is an aluminum product... ------------------ Eric '75 914 2.0L |
