911 RSR project in trade for running 914
Looking for a running 914 in trade for my 911 RSR project found here:
cool 1974 rsr widebody project Please note that the interior has been gutted and is not as represented in the photos. This project has great potential, but due to family and business commitments I will be unable to finish it for several (maybe 10) years. I am looking for a 914 that I can play with when not terrorizing the streets in my 930. Ideally the 914 would have little, if any, rust and be considered a driver. Am I crazy? If you have any genuine interest, please let me know. Thanks guys, JP

Jeez man...too bad you are a whole country away! I would concider a straight purchase in 6 months were you still around. That is what my lil 200 hp 2.4 wants!

What kind of wheels were you going to use?

I am currently running Kinesis K57 wheels (all black anodized) on my 930 and was going to switch out rim halves to get 17 x 10.5 front and 17 x 13 rears. Although not centerlock, they would have approximated the original look.
As an aside, I realize that the price of teeners are going up. May explain the lack of interest. JP

I'm interested but I'd rather trade for a stock 911 with engine trouble. I'll consider it. I can send you some pics of my car.

Thack,
the car "could" be taken back to stock, but that would necessitate stock fenders, hood, tail and interior. I am sure that the glass work could be sold off or traded for stock bodywork without much trouble but that may be more work than you want. This was intended to be a bare metal renovation with every major component replaced or upgraded and the condition reflects that. Please do not get me wrong, the car is SOLID with NO rust or accident damage but it is currently a far cry from bolting in an engine and transmission and heading down the road. If I have not scared you off, please send pics to : jfortin@feinberggrant.com Thanks again for your interest, JP

This is oh so tempting. Of course that would mean my STi engine would need to find another home though. I am going to think about this and may shoot you a pm with details of my car...

I haven't just because I really believe that a person needs to see this project in person to take it all in. Although I believe that I have represented the car accurately, I would hate to have it arrive and the recipient be disappointed in some manner.
