Odd stall-out/failure to re-start
Took the '70/4 out to test the tranny and was about a mile up the road when it stalled out at a stop sign and failed to restart for about 3-4 minutes. I hadn't warmed it up so it was only running for about 5-6 minutes when this happened. Its a 1.7 stock config. Any ideas???

maybe crap in tank/fuel filter, too quick for vapor lock.
How are your grounds? |
Fuel filter was replaced not too long ago, but the car does have a little old gas in it. Also, I put in some FI cleaner - Techron. The grounds should be OK but I am going to replace the ground strap at the tranny.

Grounds and gas would be my guess as well.
Old gas can kill the valve guides in no time. Varnish/crap can clog the brass in-tank screen, then float or settle away till the next time. |
