The picture didn't come through. Try again, please!

Setting the dwell is always done before setting the timing. Small dwell changes can have relatively large changes in the timing.

Setting the valves can be difficult the first time. Access is, umm, challenging. And there is a bit of a "feel" for how much drag you're supposed to have on the gauge. My first time (on my old Accord), I wound up with every valve very loose. Sounded like heck, ran like heck. I had a buddy who has experience with valve adjustments stop by and set one pair of valves for me. That gave me a reference for how it should feel, and I was able to go from there. It's not the worst way to go...

What year and engine size is this car? The 1.7 and 2.0 used D-jetronic EFI, the 1.8 used L-jetronic EFI. They are somewhat different.

The plug looks like either the one for a fuel-cut box from a 75-76 2.0 with catalytic converter, or an altitude sensor module from a 1.8 of some sort. Neither one of which should cause any problems if left unplugged.
