wanted: center console
I am looking for a center console with all gauges(give or take if in ratty shape)for
a '74 1.8 Also am looking for advice on how to get my rear deck lid to properly close. Right now it is riding high on the forward passenger side..any tips? |

Check your hinge mounted on the inside firewall just above the battery. I had the same problem when the hinge let loose.

thanks for your tip! I went out with wrench in one hand coffee in the other this morning armed with your advice and discovered the hinge had "let loose" via the weld. It was a joyous morning to discover that I didnt need to spend hours realigning hinges/hood. Now, about that center console....... thanks again |

I have a console. I'm not sure what year it's from. I got it in a 71 parts car I bought and stripped. I havn't seen one like it. Not even in Doc Johnsons 914 book.
If you or anyone is interested.let me know,I'll dig it out. May be rare maybe not. I'm not the expert. |
