				Throttle linkage photos needed.

I am looking for some pictures of throttle linkage setups for Weber progressive carb. Using the original throttle cable that was on the EFI. I know some of you engineers have got to have some awsome hookups!

Throw the progressive away. It is probably the worst possible way to get air and fuel into the motor. If you must use carburetors, go with duals.

Float Test the single weber, and put either a set of dual webers or the factory injection (my choice) onto the motor.

Float test is defined as "throw the part into a lake. If it floats, use it on your car"

Once when I was 16 my dad and I were driving somewhere together and the fuel pump on his Oldsmobile died about 3 miles from home. He had a can of gas in the trunk. He had me hold the pedal at about 1/4 throttle and he poured gas into the carb a little bit at a time as he was laying on the fender to get us home. It was really funny the one time when he poured too much in as we were pulling away from a stop and the car took off but he stayed there.

![]() Anyway, I digress. The point is that that car ran better with a gas pouring dad on the fender than a type 4 runs with a Weber progressive. It's a damned pinto carb. When's the last time you saw a pinto? |

Thanks for all the positive feed back. I finally got the linkage to the accelerator cable in great working order. The engine is running great. Starts up, no flat spots..no complaints! The Electronic Fuel Injection is all packed up in a box and labled. I finally can run the car when I want and where I want. Thats a nice trade off to me..its runs!!
