94 mm Mahle Euro kit vs. 94mm Kolben Schmidt 1:8.0 ...
I have seen both offered by different vendors. Where is the difference? What version is better? Who has experience with either one of them? Thanks for your help, ------------------ '74 Porsche 914 2.0l '90 VW Vanagon 1.7l Diesel |

Kolben Schmidt in the shortened version is KS...which I know made some pistons for 911's, specifically the 911 SC. I would see if you could find what type of cylinders the Mahle ones are, but most likely they are the same as the KS set.

I was looking at my random piston collection last night and found a Mahle 1.7 piston and a KS 1.7. The KS looks to be made better and more wholesome than the Mahle.
If you are after a new set I would spend the extra time/money to find KS ones. I think Jake can ge them. ------------------ Adrian Pillow 1979 911 SC 1966 VW Microbus PCA - Peachstate Region |

Mahle and Kolbenschmidt were both OEM suppliers. Both should be of good quality.
